In Spring of 2016, the NOREMIXES label held a three month residency at Philadelphia’s The Art Dept. Artists from the label performed alongside friends and guests in an intimate early Friday evening setting. All three events saw incredible performances, and now everyone will at least be able to hear a little of what went down with the NORESIDENCY release series: direct from the board recordings.

Label founder Starkey performed a live set at the first NORESIDENCY night on February 26th. The table was filled with the same gear he took on the road with him during the last 'Transponder Orchestra' live tour: a laptop, an iPad, various midi controllers and his eurorack modular synthesizer setup. Billed as an “ambient” set, Starkey took the audience on a dynamic journey filled with new material and improvisational explorations. For any fan of Starkey’s material over the years, the set showcased his synth heavy output and allowed the melodic and harmonic material to shine.
