  Ghostinthehills is the moniker of classically trained, Philadelphia-based composer, Kevin McTague. ‘Still Life in Grey Scale’ is his first full length album for NOREMIXES, following 2015’s heralded ‘Elegy’ EP.
  ‘Still Life in Grey Scale’ finds ghostinthehills maturing his sound into a cohesive long player that weaves synthesis, foundsound and piano into a tapestry of tonecolors. Opening cut ‘Constant Streams of Information’ builds on a shifting hypnotic arpeggio, and ‘Fractures Pts. 1 & 2’ continue with shrill drones that sneak melodic fragments from within. Later, ‘Submerge’ feels like a piano daydream on a beautiful ocean shore; really. Then closer, ‘On the Last Day’ provides the perfect ending for the journey through ‘Still Life in Grey Scale’; an album which finds ghostinthehills in perfect stride with his creative process.
  NOREMIXES will begin a 4th Friday residency at Philadelphia’s Art Dept. (www.artdeptphilly.com), and February’s inaugural evening will be the record release party for ‘Still Life in Grey Scale’.
